Legacy Supply Chain, a long‑standing 3PL, is hiring an Import Specialist / Customs Entry Writer in Dublin, OH. You will classify goods, prepare entry documents (7501, 3461), verify origin, and ensure duties are paid accurately to support timely deliveries.

Requirements include 2+ years in international logistics or customs brokerage, knowledge of U.S. regulations, Incoterms, HTS classification, and strong organizational/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• File daily entries and prepare documentation per regulations.
• Verify information with Airlines and carriers.

• Ensure timely entry filing and freight delivery.
• Maintain customer service functions and handle inquiries.
• Provide initial customer service on new inquiries.

Job description

What to Expect as in Import Specialist / Customs Entry Writer:

• Responsible for daily entry filing, familiar with OGAs (FDA, FCC, USDA, etc.) requirements.


• Prepare entry documentation including 7501, 3461, etc.


• Verify arrival information with Airlines/NVOCC's/ Steamship Lines, etc.


• Rate commercial invoice with tariff numbers


• Verify country of origin


• Prepare entry documents for Customs approval and Duty payment


• Prepare delivery order, send to trucker, verify receipt


• Advise importers of any areas of tariff classification, regulations and procedures.


• Ensure that all entries are filed on time and freight delivered in a timely manner in accordance with company and customer expectations.


• Background in Cargowise preferred


• Background in FTZ weekly blanket and withdrawal preferred.


• Maintain Customer Service functions and follow guidelines and procedures for handling customer issues.


• Process incoming and outgoing customer calls to provide customer satisfaction


• Provide initial Customer Service functions on new inquiries.
