Freight Appointments Ltd. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Customs Entry Writer to prepare and file entries for import shipments, ensuring compliance with CBP regulations and accurate HTS classifications.

The role collaborates with carriers, brokers and customers to facilitate timely clearance and delivery. Hybrid schedule is available; a minimum of 2 years of entry-writing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer.
• Solid understanding of U.S. import customs procedures and compliance.
• Experience using CargoWise is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and file customs entries for import shipments in accordance with U.S. CBP regulations.
• Accurately classify merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Review and maintain accurate, complete import documentation.
• Collaborate with carriers, customs brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely clearance and delivery.
• Communicate with customers and agents regarding entry status, delays, discrepancies, and clearance issues.
• Identify and resolve documentation or entry-related issues efficiently.

Customs Entry Writer - Hybrid - Atlanta, GA

A well-established international logistics and freight forwarding company is looking for an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of U.S. import customs procedures who takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file customs entries for import shipments in accordance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations
• Accurately classify merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
• Review and maintain accurate, complete import documentation
• Work closely with carriers, customs brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely clearance and delivery
• Communicate with customers and agents regarding entry status, delays, discrepancies, and clearance issues
• Identify and resolve documentation or entry-related issues efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Customs Entry Writer
• Solid understanding of U.S. import customs procedures and compliance requirements
• Experience using CargoWise is preferred

On offer is a salary of up to $73k & a hybrid working schedule.
