Jobot in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Import Specialist to coordinate ocean and air imports, ensuring timely delivery and compliant documentation. CargoWise experience is highly preferred, with strong Excel and office skills to manage shipments from origin to destination.

The role requires close collaboration with carriers, brokers, and internal teams to maintain accurate records and proactive communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Shipment delivery on time per customer's request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations.
• Prepare and review import documentation for import customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments.
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing.
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system.
