Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Import Specialist to manage end-to-end import operations from origin to destination in a Houston, TX on-site role. The position offers a permanent, full-time opportunity with a base salary of $60,000–$80,000 plus benefits and potential bonuses.

You will coordinate ocean and air shipments, prepare import documentation, ensure CBP/FMC compliance, and communicate with carriers and internal teams to meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Shipment Delivery on time per customer's request.
  • Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations
  • Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. CBP, FMC, and other regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
  • Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
  • Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system
