Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Import Specialist with CargoWise experience for a Newark-based role. Manage ocean and air imports, prepare documentation, and ensure CBP/FMC compliance.

Coordinate full-cycle shipments, data entry, and communication with carriers and internal teams. Salary is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, with benefits from Jobot.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Shipment delivery on time per customer's request.
  • Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin to final destinations.
  • Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments.
  • Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing.
  • Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies.
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system.
