Job summary

Jobot in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Import Specialist with CargoWise experience to manage end-to-end ocean and air imports for customers worldwide.

You will prepare documentation, ensure CBP/FMC compliance, coordinate with carriers and brokers, track shipments, and maintain accurate records in our system. This role offers comprehensive benefits and growth within a fast-paced logistics team.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations.
• Prepare and review import documentation for import customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with CBP, FMC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments.
• Track, trace, and monitor shipments to ensure timely processing.
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system.

• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations

• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system
