Job summary

Conn Selmer, located in Elkhart, IN, seeks an Import Sales and Operations Planner to lead demand forecasting, inventory management, and S&OP processes. The role focuses on aligning demand and supply, optimizing stock levels at the EDC for Imported Instruments and Kitting cell, and ensuring data accuracy to support decision making.

You will partner with sales, production, and engineering, release orders, monitor capacity, and drive continuous improvement using MES, ERP/MRP tools and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in supply chain, operations, IT, or business management preferred.
• Experience with MES systems.
• Understanding of MRP, BOMs, and production planning.
• Experience with ERP systems like Dynamics 365, Infor, and AS400 is a plus.
• Strong SQL, Excel queries, and data analysis skills.
• LEAN and Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and release work orders and purchase orders based on MRP guidance.
• Support Production Scheduling through MRP, MES, and Shop Floor Control.
• Coordinate with Sales to align export deliveries with customer timelines.
• Analyze MRP and procurement plans against system recommendations.
• Serve as D365 liaison for ERP implementation.
• Review forecast vs actual demand and identify trends.
• Improve S&OP plan accuracy with defined metrics.
• Develop data collection systems to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Collaborate with open order fulfillment and planning for Import Team.
• Assess production capacity to meet forecasts and optimize utilization.
