Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in inventory planning, MRP, purchasing, import logistics, or related role.
• Experience with international suppliers and coordinating ocean freight, customs clearance, and import compliance is preferred.
• Experience analyzing inventory performance, supplier performance, lead times, and purchasing trends.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP requirements and issue import purchase orders; expedite, delay, or cancel purchases as needed.
• Manage and maintain import inventory levels considering origin, MOQ, lead times, and distribution challenges.
• Coordinate with factories to optimize MOQ and container capacity; resolve delays with agents and freight forwarders.
• Prepare monthly import summaries, spend analysis, and inventory status updates.
• Monitor safety stock and reporting to support planning decisions.
• Negotiate with freight forwarders and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Assist in updating import compliance manuals and tariff classifications.
