Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to manage air or ocean import/export shipments, ensuring accurate processing, timely deliveries, and proactive problem resolution. You will advocate for customers and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and meet service levels.

The role requires strong communication, SOP adherence, and the ability to handle escalations in a fast-paced environment. Office-based with hybrid schedule expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3+ years in air/ocean import/export operations.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and domestic transportation providers.
• Must be bilingual in Japanese and English if handling Japanese accounts.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for each customer and method.
• Track and trace shipments with steamship lines, freight forwarders, and CFS.
• Arrange pickup and delivery with trucking companies.
• Be the primary customer contact for assigned accounts.
• Provide shipment status and notify delays.
• Coordinate timely shipments at optimal cost and customer satisfaction.
• Address customer concerns and troubleshoot errors; escalate as needed.
• Review exception reports and resolve discrepancies.
