Job description

The Import / Export Compliance Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing global shipment activities, including imports, exports, parcel, LTL/FTL, ocean, and air freight. This role ensures compliance with U.S. and international regulations while maintaining accurate documentation, optimizing transportation costs, and supporting on-time delivery performance.

Your Basic Qualifications?

• We are looking for candidates with at least 5+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or export operations.
• Experience coordinating international freight across multiple regions is preferred.
• Experience with import/export compliance, custom classifications is highly preferred.
• Experience with customs tariff classifications (HTS/HS codes) is preferred.
• Successful candidates need a blend of sharp analytical thinking, high adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with internal and external customers, requiring high emotional intelligence and patience.
• This position reports to the Director, Production & Assembly Operations
• You will work onsite during the initial training (Monday – Friday)
• Opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule; however, must be willing to work in the office at least 4 days per week, and as needed.
