Job summary

PSA BDP, headquartered in Philadelphia, is seeking a Customs broker or CCS to manage import/export classifications and compliance for global shipments. The role supports audits, dashboards, and monthly/quarterly reporting while driving process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in export trafficking with a freight forwarder, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to learn new software in a fast-paced environment. Relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Customs Broker or CCS is preferred.
  • 2+ years of export trafficking experience with a freight forwarder/broker.
  • 1–3 years in a customer service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience and teamwork are highly desired.
  • Ability to learn various computer programs.
  • Entry writer and break bulk experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review Import shipment documentation to identify errors and compliance issues.
  • Assist with HTS Classification.
  • Conduct file audits.
  • Review ACE data, including PGA data (FDA ACE coding a plus).
  • Assist with monitoring import dashboard for pending shipments.
  • Assist with monthly metrics and quarterly business reports.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement through training, process management, and lean methods.
  • Respond to and support audit findings related to trade and import/export classifications and filings.
  • Determine root cause and coordinate corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and support internal and external audit findings as they relate to trade and import and export classifications and accurate government filing.
  • Determine root cause and corrective actions and coordinates implementation thereof.
Job Requirements
  • Licensed Customs Broker or Qualified CCS
  • BS/BA degree is not required but highly preferred.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of experience handling export trafficking functions with a freight forwarder/broker.
  • Prefer one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a customer service type environment.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
  • Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
  • Entry writer & break bulk experience a plus.
