Job summary

PSA BDP is seeking a skilled logistics professional to prepare and compile documents for federal discharge of foreign cargo, liaise between importers, carriers, and US Customs, and support customer operations. The role involves travel to client meetings and training on customs procedures.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in transportation, strong communication, and a proven ability to manage accounts and supervise daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Transportation industry, Import/Global transportation/Regulatory and business development.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to learn various computer programs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate operational situations to management.
  • Assist in collection of any outstanding accounts.
  • Maintain communication with steamship and/or airline agents as to status of shipments.
  • Assist sales department with sales calls to new and established customers.
  • Maintain communication and relationships with customers.
  • Together with management prepare fees and duty rate quotes in a timely manner.
  • Open, invoice and close files.
  • Manage and supervise daily work.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience
  • Knowledge of Transportation industry, Import/Global transportation/Regulatory and business development
  • Standard hours and additional time as necessary
  • Must maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
  • Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
