Job summary

ISR Transport is seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead technology and infrastructure deployments for municipal and public-sector customers across the United States. This senior role oversees Project Managers and field teams from contract award through go-live and handover into operations, driving on-time, on-budget delivery and strong stakeholder governance.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead the delivery of technology and infrastructure projects for municipal and public-sector customers across the United States.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for projects from contract award through implementation, go-live and handover into ongoing operations where you will lead Project Managers and field-based technical teams, creating the structure, accountability and processes needed to ensure projects are delivered consistently, on time and within budget.

The role would suit someone from a roadside technology, security/surveillance, IoT, Telecommunications, smart infrastructure or other technology-led field deployment environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and field technicians, setting clear priorities, expectations and accountability for successful project delivery.
• Take overall ownership of a portfolio of customer implementations from contract award through deployment, go-live and operational handover, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Establish clear project governance, reporting and delivery processes, providing visibility of progress, resources, budgets, risks and customer commitments.
• Provide senior oversight of customer relationships, supporting Project Managers and taking ownership of escalations involving municipalities, public-sector stakeholders and other project partners.
• Maintain accountability across suppliers, installation partners and contractors, ensuring equipment, resources, approvals and field activities are coordinated effectively.
• Work across project, technical, product and operational teams to resolve delivery issues and ensure projects transition successfully into ongoing support and operations.
• Build and continuously improve consistent, scalable delivery processes so successful project outcomes are repeatable across the wider portfolio.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience as an Implementation Manager, Program Manager, Senior Project Manager, Delivery Manager or similar, leading complex technology or infrastructure implementations.
• Proven people leadership experience, including managing Project Managers and ideally engineers, technicians or other field-based teams.
• Demonstrable experience taking accountability for multiple concurrent projects, with responsibility for schedules, budgets, resources, risks and overall delivery performance.
• Strong process and operational mindset, with experience introducing project governance, standardising delivery processes and improving accountability across teams.
• Experience managing customers, suppliers, contractors and other external stakeholders, with the confidence to take ownership of senior-level escalations.
• Experience delivering integrated hardware, software and field technology solutions, ideally within roadside technology, security/surveillance, telecommunications, smart infrastructure or a comparable environment.
• Experience working with municipalities, government agencies or other public-sector customers would be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, supplier expenditure and delivery risk.
