We are seeking a Workforce Implementation Project Manager to lead and coordinate workforce-related projects in response to task orders from federal agencies. This role requires managing resources and deliverables within a matrix organization, ensuring alignment across multiple functional teams, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex organizational structures, driving successful outcomes under federal compliance standards, and preferably a background in management consulting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of workforce implementation projects initiated by federal agency task orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Matrix Resource Coordination: Manage resources across a matrix organization, balancing priorities among functional teams, subcontractors, and agency stakeholders.
  • Task Order Execution: Interpret task order requirements, develop project plans, and ensure deliverables meet contractual obligations and agency objectives.
  • Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and compliance with federal and contractual requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for federal agency representatives, internal leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to federal regulations, agency-specific policies and contractual requirements.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide detailed progress reports, resource utilization metrics, and project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Measurable KPIs
  • On-Time Delivery: 95% of projects delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Budget Adherence: Maintain variance within ±5% of approved budget.
  • Resource Utilization: Optimize resource allocation to achieve 90% utilization across matrix teams.

Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a matrix organization.
  • Proven track record managing federal agency task orders or government contracts.
  • Experience at a management consulting firm strongly preferred.
Certifications
