Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Implementations Manager to lead customer onboarding and implementation projects from kickoff through go-live. This client-facing role combines accounting expertise with technical configuration and project leadership.

You will manage a portfolio of implementations, develop plans, coordinate with Product and Engineering, and mentor junior teammates while ensuring timely delivery and adoption of the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with close or technical accounting processes.
• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably software implementations or system migrations.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial data movement between applications.
• Excellent customer-facing communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into scalable technical solutions while managing multiple implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop reusable templates, playbooks, training resources, and automation tools.

Our client, a financial technology software company, is seeking an Implementations Manager to lead customer onboarding and implementation projects from kickoff through go-live.

Location:

This role is primarily in-office with flexibility and may be based in either San Francisco or New York City. Some customer travel may be required for implementations and training.

Job Description:

This client-facing role will combine accounting expertise, technical configuration, project leadership, and user training to help customers modernize their financial close processes. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional who understands financial systems, enjoys improving workflows, and is interested in transitioning into a technology-focused implementation role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a portfolio of customer implementations from initial kickoff through configuration, training, go-live, and transition to Customer Success
• Develop project plans, milestones, responsibilities, and timelines while proactively addressing risks and delays
• Analyze customers’ accounting processes and recommend improvements to close, reconciliation, reporting, and financial workflows
• Configure platform functionality and troubleshoot integrations with ERP and other financial systems
• Guide customers through data migrations, system integrations, testing, and adoption activities
• Train accounting teams and finance leaders on product capabilities, implementation best practices, and updated workflows
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and communicate customer requirements
• Maintain clear project documentation and ensure completed implementations meet defined adoption and handoff standards

• Support and mentor junior implementation team members as the organization grows

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close or technical accounting processes; CPA preferred
• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably involving software implementations, systems migrations, or process transformation
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, financial integrations, and how accounting data moves between business applications
• Excellent customer-facing communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into scalable technical solutions while managing multiple implementations in a fast-paced environment
