Job summary

Imaging Business Machines, LLC. is seeking a Project Lead to drive client implementations of document capture solutions from kickoff to go-live and handoff.

You will collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Support, and internal teams to define requirements, publish plans, and ensure successful deployments. Responsibilities include installing and configuring ibml hardware and software, validating configurations, and training customers and third-party teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in technical delivery, system integration, imaging systems, or solution support.
• 2+ years in customer-facing project implementation, business systems, imaging equipment, or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and database concepts.
• Understanding of LAN/networking concepts, IP addressing, permissions, connectivity, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot software and hardware solutions.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 60–70%, including occasional weekends.
• Willingness to travel within North America, South America, and the Caribbean.
• Candidate must reside in the Birmingham, AL area.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer implementation activities from project kickoff through go-live and handoff to Support.
• Collaborate with customers, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Support, and internal teams to define requirements.
• Review scope, SOW, knowledge transfer, hardware configuration, software requirements, and readiness.
• Create, publish, and maintain accurate implementation plans.
• Assist with pre-installation planning, scheduling, and customer coordination.
• Install, configure, and test ibml hardware and software in customer environments.
• Validate system configuration against project requirements and scope.
• Troubleshoot issues related to software, hardware, Windows, SQL, networking, and workflows.
• Conduct training for customers, operators, administrators, and third-party support teams.
• Document testing results, project status, issues, and milestones.
• Support acceptance, go-live activities, and transition to ibml Support.
• Provide feedback to Product Engineering and Software Development.
• Maintain knowledge of ibml hardware, software, scanning platforms, and best practices.
• Protect company assets and intellectual property.
