Job description

Overview

Our ERP Consulting team is a critical part of the Professional Services group at LINQ, dedicated to leading successful software implementations for K-12 school districts nationwide.

Responsibilities
  • We’re the functional experts and business analysts behind every implementation, ensuring our powerful and feature-rich ERP platform is delivered correctly—every time.
  • Our team is made up of smart, capable critical thinkers who genuinely enjoy solving challenging problems for a living. Because our projects directly influence whether clients thrive with LINQ long-term, we focus heavily on hiring team members with exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, and client-management skills.
  • We specialize in complex, longer-term projects involving intricate financial data, detailed process analysis, and sophisticated data migrations.

If you're someone who enjoys digging deep into complex challenges and making a lasting impact, you’ll find your professional home here.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • 30 Days In - You’ll immerse yourself in our seven-stage methodology, shadowing senior peers while completing your configuration and product certifications. By the end of the month, you can “read the trail map” unaided and spot quick wins for each client you meet.
  • 90 Days In - You’re fully billable, steering discovery workshops and documenting fit/gap analyses for at least two concurrent projects. Stakeholders already look to you to clarify scope and flag data-migration risks before they bite.
  • 180 Days In - You are the owner and lead of a full implementation from planning through UAT and go-live, managing client stakeholders, collaborating with your project manager, contributing to the team knowledge base and accountable for creating your customer’s experiences and outcomes.
  • 365 Days In - Your client retrospectives feed directly into our methodology’s next version. You’re the go-to for something (reporting, budgeting, payroll, etc.), provide support for new hires who are shadowing, and present a best-practice webinar directly to our customers as part of Back-to-School.
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong Consulting Toolkit: You learn fast, out-produce peers, and thrive amid ambiguity. You are skilled in facilitation, discovery, scope definition, and conflict resolution. You understand SaaS data structures and can partner smoothly with technical teams.
  • Change Catalyst: You create the change that you want to see in your team, your projects and your practice. You aren’t waiting for the “cavalry” to ride in and “save the day” but recognize that improvement (process, people and performance) happens when we get 1% better every day.
  • Strategic Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with clients, technical teams, and executive stakeholders. Comfortable in direct customer interactions and leading strategic internal discussions.
  • Complexity & Detail-Oriented Mindset: Proven comfort and proficiency working with detailed processes, complex financial data, sophisticated data migrations, and feature-rich software platforms without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Innate curiosity, intellectual agility, and a natural inclination to uncover root causes and implement effective, pragmatic solutions rather than merely managing symptoms.
  • Results-Focused Business Acumen: A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of how operational excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction directly translate into long-term business success.
  • BA/BS degree in a related field OR equivalent relevant work experience
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Demonstrable Track Record: You’ve already implemented ERP software in the public K-12 education sector. You know the players, you know the needs and you can show projects/outcomes that demonstrate direct experience that will make your ramp time quicker and allow you to contribute fast.
  • Professional Services Expert: Direct knowledge and experience with how project milestones contribute to the overall profit and loss statement for a Professional Services team or a robust understanding of how key resource and project metrics (Utilization, Delivery Efficiency, etc.) are more than KPI’s that show up on a performance review – they are the most tangible measures of performance that matter.
  • K-12 ERP Experience: Direct experience implementing or managing ERP projects in the K-12 education sector, understanding firsthand the unique operational and financial challenges schools face.
  • Financial Systems & Data Migration Mastery: Deep hands-on experience or specialized knowledge managing complex financial systems, integrations, or data migration processes—particularly within ERP environments.
  • High Emotional Intelligence: An exceptional ability to navigate nuanced interpersonal dynamics, read organizational cues, and influence stakeholders at all levels to support change management and strategic improvements.
  • Passion for Educational Impact: A genuine interest and belief in the transformative impact of technology on public education, driven by a passion for improving operational outcomes for schools and communities.
The Tech
  • LINQ ERP Platform (comprehensive and feature-rich ERP solution for K-12 districts)
  • Financial Systems and Accounting Software (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Budgeting)
  • Complex Data Migration Tools and Techniques (SQL, ETL processes, data validation tools)
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics Tools (Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Project Management & Collaboration Software (Rocketlane, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar PSA/PM tools)
  • Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
  • Advanced Excel & Data Analysis Skills
Travel Requirements
  • 25 - 33%: Most of your project work will be performed remotely. During the busy season (July – September, November, February) there will be on-site travel but rarely more than 3-5 days sequentially (with rare exceptions for multi-week on-site engagements). We work with our team members to plan around their families, lives and personal needs to best serve our customers.
Benefits
  • Flex Your Workspace: Work remote from one of our eligible states across the US, or if you’re near Austin three days in office a week!
  • Planning Your Future: Our 401(k) plan comes with a 4% employer match on total earnings (not just your base salary).
  • Performance Pays Off: Whether it’s a company bonus or target sales commission, your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.
  • Vacation Your Way: Our flexible Open Paid Time Off Plan lets you take the time you need, when you need it.
  • Paid Parental Leave: Take the time you need to welcome your new addition – We’ve got you covered!
  • Ten Paid Corporate Holidays: Enjoy a little extra downtime to relax and recharge with the ten paid holidays each year.
  • Giving Back: 16 paid volunteer hours to support the causes that matter most to you.
  • Benefits That Have Your Back (And Teeth, Too!): Rock-solid medical, dental and vision coverage. Pick your vibe: a low deductible PPO and pair with an FSA or a HDHP with a sweet HSA – with contributions from LINQ. Dental perks that even cover braces for the kiddos.
  • Wellness Perks: Employer-paid Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Basic Life, and AD&D insurance. Gym reimbursements and tons of extra savings on travel assistance, employee assistance, and even pet insurance options.
  • Grow With Us: Invest in yourself with professional development opportunities to keep leveling up your skills.
  • Rewards For Referrals: Got an amazing candidate in your network? Send them our way and earn a referral bonus when they join the team!
