Job summary

Heartshare seeks compassionate Coaches to support homeless youths in securing rapid housing with time-limited rental assistance. You will guide, coach, and partner with young adults to build independent living skills, access services, and navigate housing stability using evidence-based methods.

You will deliver intake, needs assessments, and ongoing coaching while maintaining case notes and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Training will cover CTI and recovery-oriented practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• NYC Driver's License required.
• Knowledge and understanding of the homeless population.
• Experience conducting groups and developing youth programming.
• Comfort traveling throughout NYC.
• Flexible work hours may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake with youth and referrals to other agencies.
• Complete needs assessments including mental health and social history.
• Assist with housing applications, employment, budgeting, and school enrollment.
• Facilitate and participate in skill-building groups.
• Provide bi-weekly individual coaching to each youth.
• Maintain active chart records and mandatory paperwork.
