Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Career Coach in Santa Barbara, CA to serve as the primary liaison for participants, ensuring eligibility and coordinating follow-up services for employment and retention. You will recruit for the program, connect participants with job and education opportunities, and engage with local employers and community organizations to expand opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; related Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be able to drive for business purposes.
• Pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy; CA AB 2188 compliance for CA residents.

Responsibilities

• The Career Coach serves as the primary contact with participants and their circle of influence, ensuring eligibility, participation, case notes, and follow-up services for employment, retention, and termination.
• Recruit for the program and seek employment/education opportunities as participants complete the program; engage with community activities and employers.
• Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness, and basic math/reading; develop presentation and facilitation skills for program goals.
• Engage with employers and community organizations to market and enrich the program and participant outcomes.
