Job summary

Eckerd Connects seeks a Workforce Career Coach to support participants with employment, retention, and education goals. You will recruit for the program, connect with employers, and arrange services to help participants advance their careers.

This role emphasizes skills training, job development, and data-driven case notes, with a commitment to values and providing client-centered support to diverse communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; related Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 3+ years relevant work experience with target population.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and meet Eckerd’s Auto Insurance requirements; able to drive for business purposes.
• Drug screen required in compliance with policy.

Responsibilities

• The Career Coach is the primary contact with participants and their circle of influence, ensuring eligibility, participation, case notes and follow-up services for employment, retention and termination.
• Recruit for the program and seek employment/education opportunities as participants complete the program; engage in community activities; recruit target clients and employers.
• Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness, and basic remedial skills in math and reading; develop facilitation skills to engage participants.
• Develop job opportunities by connecting with employers and community organizations to market and enrich the program and participant success.
