Confidential Employer in Richmond, Virginia is seeking an attorney to manage plaintiff-side workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution. You will develop litigation strategy, take and defend depositions, and draft pleadings and hearing materials while negotiating settlements with carriers and defense counsel.

You will work closely with medical providers and experts to maximize case value and counsel clients with clear guidance throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar license or the ability to obtain admission promptly.
• 1+ years of workers' compensation, personal injury, insurance defense, medical malpractice, or comparable litigation experience.
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and communication abilities.
• Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Passion for representing injured individuals and advocating on their behalf.

Responsibilities

• Manage plaintiff-side workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and build strong, evidence-driven cases.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and hearing materials.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Represent clients before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Partner with medical providers, vocational experts, and other professionals to maximize case value.
• Counsel clients throughout the litigation process with clear communication.
