Job summary

Community College of Allegheny County is seeking a Head Women's Basketball Coach (Temp PT) to lead the program at Main Campus. You will oversee practices and games, develop student athletes in training, teamwork, and safety, and collaborate with the Director of Student Life and Athletic Director on eligibility.

The role requires recruiting, scheduling, travel, equipment handling, fundraising, and ensuring NJCAA compliance, with in-person, in-season duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Coaching experience at high school, club, or collegiate level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball techniques, rules and training methods.
• Working knowledge of NJCAA rules or willingness to learn and maintain compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Organize, conduct, and lead practices and team exercises, assess athletes and provide feedback.
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork and safety; monitor health and lifestyle issues.
• Model professional conduct towards players, officials and spectators.
• Recruit prospective student athletes and coordinate with athletic leadership on eligibility.
• Prepare game schedules, communicate with athletes, and attend all games.
• Manage uniforms and equipment and arrange travel as needed.
• Coordinate with athletic leadership to engage in orientation and fundraising.
• Provide administrative support related to eligibility, funds, compliance and reporting.
