Job summary

Community College of Allegheny County is seeking an Assistant Golf Coach (Temp PT) to support the Head Coach in practicing, coaching, and developing student-athletes. Responsibilities include training, health, teamwork, and safety, with collaboration on eligibility and program direction.

The role also involves recruiting, coordinating with the Director of Student Life and Athletic Director, and ensuring NJCAA standards are met while facilitating golf program outreach and events.

Qualifications

• Previous collegiate coaching experience and collegiate playing experience within sport strongly preferred.
• Clearances required.
• Knowledge of WPCC, PCAA, NJCAA and some NCAA rules preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate College van.
• May require overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions.
• Develop and implement game strategies and player development plans.
• Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes in alignment with CCAC admissions standards and NJCAA eligibility requirements.
• Ensure all student-athletes meet NJCAA academic eligibility, amateurism, and participation standards.
• Monitor academic progress and promote student-athlete success in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate eligibility documentation and submit all required NJCAA and conference report.
• Manage program budget, equipment, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with all institutional, conference, and NJCAA rules and regulations.
• Supervise assistant coaches and support staff (if applicable).
• Promote our Golf program through community engagement and outreach.
• Coordinate team travel, including transportation and lodging arrangements.
