Job summary

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Staff Development Specialist to create, develop, implement, and conduct training programs for employees.

The role focuses on assessing needs, delivering onboarding and ongoing training, and maintaining records. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in HR/training and at least 2 years of training experience; SHRM-CP is preferred. Benefits include health/life/vision insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Training, Development, or related field.
• At least 2 years training experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses training needs and effectiveness via surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
• Creates onboarding, all-staff onboarding, and skills training for employees.
• Develops training programs to address workers needs and maintain/improve job skills.
• Creates and updates training manuals, guides, and course materials.
• Delivers training using lectures, group discussions, simulations, and videos.
• Keeps records of training activities, attendance, and assessments.
• Evaluates training materials and stays current with trends in training and development.
• Prepares and manages training budget; records expenses.
• Performs other related duties as required.
