Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Training Coordinator in Santa Clara County to lead and coordinate a series of trainings for staff, ensuring content is engaging, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s mission to end homelessness. Under the Talent Development Director, you will develop modules, manage certifications, and support ongoing staff growth.

The role supports some remote work, with schedule details determined by leadership.

Qualifications

• One year employment experience in a social services, training, or teaching field
• Familiarity with homelessness, evident through volunteerism or past employment
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

Responsibilities

• Facilitate trainings with superior communication skills, adapting content to staff in attendance
• Assist team with training implementation. Tasks include preparation, transportation, set-up, various tasks during training, and clean-up.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of training modules, ensuring they stay relevant to staff needs and compliant with company policies and contract requirements
• Commitment to continued professional and content development through research; giving and receiving feedback; and attending self-development training and train-the-trainers
• Utilize the digital Learning Management Systems and internal digital portal to track training certifications and completions, assign training, and run reports.
• Be a subject‑matter expert in training topics, ready to support staff questions
