Job summary

Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s SIU School of Medicine seeks a Title IX Investigator based in Springfield, IL to assist in investigations, interviews, and hearings for university policy violations. You will correspond with complainants, respondents, and witnesses, and help with training on policy changes to the campus community.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with Title IX compliance programs preferred (investigator/advisor/panel member) or advanced degree (MS/JD).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage investigations.

Responsibilities

• Corresponds with and participates in pre-investigation contact with complainants.
• Conducts investigations for allegations of violations of university policies.
• Assists with providing accommodations to complainants and respondents.
• Schedules and conducts interviews with complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
• Corresponds with all parties of investigations within policy guidelines.
• Participates in and assists with post-investigation hearings and procedures.
• Maintains confidential documents and files on investigations and interviews.
• Keeps abreast of policy changes relating to discrimination and harassment.
• Assists with development of and providing training on university policies to the campus community.
• Performs other duties related to the position as assigned.
