Job summary

University of Pennsylvania's Title IX office is seeking a Title IX Investigator to join the Center for Civil Rights (CCR). The investigator will conduct investigations of sex- and gender-based discrimination, prepare detailed reports, maintain confidentiality, and coordinate with campus partners.

Reporting to the Executive Director and Title IX Coordinator, responsibilities include data collection, training, and ongoing policy implementation in a challenging academic environment in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Title IX law and policy in higher education and employment.
• Experience conducting Title IX investigations in higher education or government settings.
• Ability to train staff and faculty on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prompt and thorough investigations of formal complaints of sex and gender-based discrimination and harassment.
• Investigate complaints involving students, faculty, and staff.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports summarizing evidence for fact-finding and credibility analyses.
• Maintain confidentiality and neutrality throughout investigations.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and training initiatives.
