Job summary

Founded in Stockton, Dignity Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support its operating room team. You will set up and maintain the sterile field, organize instruments per surgeon preferences, and assist the surgical team during procedures.

Expect responsibilities from pre-op through post-op, with strict aseptic protocols. Qualified candidates hold CST certification, BLS, and at least six months in an acute care surgery setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist required for the role.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum six months in an acute care Surgery Department as scrub personnel.
• Six months experience may be substituted if ORT externship completed on-site within the last year.
• If eligible, graduate from an OR Tech Program and certified; military trained candidates require 10 years of surgical tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile operating room and maintain sterile field for procedures.
• Organize instruments and supplies per surgeon preference cards.
• Assist surgeon, RN, and anesthesiologist during procedures.
• Manage sterile supply flow and perform accurate surgical counts.
• Adhere to aseptic technique and safety protocols from pre-op to post-op.
