Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks an entry‑level Coordinator of Supplier Diversity to support the implementation of supplier diversity initiatives on assigned projects. You will assist the Manager of Supplier Diversity, project leadership, procurement, estimating, and field teams in executing inclusion and workforce development strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 2+ years of experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
• Significant progressive experience in supplier diversity, construction procurement, small business development, workforce development, community engagement, compliance, or related leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Pre‑Construction: Support outreach with community partners and small business trade partners; assist with documentation of market intelligence.
• Marketing / Business Development: Prepare outreach materials and data for small business participation.
• Market Assessment: Identify local small business opportunities and workforce development needs.
• Procurement / Project Pursuit: Support review of solicitations and small business participation plans.
• Small Business Trade Partner Evaluation: Gather data on small business capabilities and certifications.
• Estimating Engagement: Assist with bid room documentation and communication with trade partners.
• Operations: Support implementation of participation and workforce development strategies.
• Reporting: Track compliance and outreach activities for stakeholder updates.
• Workforce Development: Coordinate with workforce partners and training providers.
• Programs and Trainings: Assist with supplier diversity trainings and related programs.
• Organizations: Support participation in supplier diversity organizations.
