Job summary

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist substitute to provide therapy to students district-wide, addressing language, speech, voice, fluency and feeding/swallowing needs to support educational goals.

The role requires an IL-licensed SLP with endorsement and preferably ASHA CCCs, along with strong communication and data-tracking abilities. Collaboration with staff and families is essential while following district policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws.
• Ability to case manage speech-only students and coordinate with families, teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat a variety of communication disorders including articulation, language and fluency.
• Write and implement IEPs for Students.
• Collaborate with staff to achieve IEP goals.
• Use best practice therapy techniques to help students reach goals.
• Maintain data to document progress toward goals.
• Educate teachers and parents about the role of the SLP.
• Follow district policies and procedures.
