Job summary

Oswego Health in New York State is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in both children and adults.

The role requires NYS licensure, alignment with department policies, and collaboration with physicians, nurses and therapists. The position is non-exempt, with 80 hours per pay period, and a strong focus on patient-centered care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Speech-language pathology program.
• Current New York State Speech Therapist license or permit.
• Physical Therapy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled treatment plans in accordance with physician orders in compliance with New York State laws.
• Coordinate treatment plans with physicians, nurses, dietitians, family members, physical therapists, occupational therapist, or case management as needed.
• Provide information for insurance carrier credentialing and authorization to provide patient insurance coverage.
• Maintain confidential clinical and administrative records and accurate billing.
• Mentor the Clinical Fellow and ensure development of independent clinical skills as needed.
