Job summary

Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist on a leave replacement basis to assess and provide direct services to students with disabilities, including autism and language disorders. The role may involve collaborative classroom work as well as individual sessions.

The candidate will join the educational and therapeutic team, contribute to intervention planning, keep in touch with district representatives and families, and produce required reports to support student

Qualifications

• Must hold valid New York State certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and direct services to students with disabilities, including autism and language disorders.
• Collaborate in a classroom model or deliver individual services.
• Assist in development and implementation of therapeutic intervention and transition plans.
• Maintain contact with local school district representatives and parents.
• Prepare formal reports as required.
