Job summary

GEO Reentry Services LLC. is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor to develop and conduct education programs on drug and alcohol abuse, and to lead individual and group counseling.

You will apply What Works evidence-based practices, complete documentation, and coordinate intakes, group sessions, and treatment plans across multiple offices to support client recovery and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in a social science field with 2 years of chemical addictions counseling experience, or
• Associate degree with 4 years of counseling experience, or
• High School diploma with 6 years of counseling experience.
• CSAC certification or license required; LCAS or LCAS-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate substance abuse program across offices using What Works principles.
• Schedule intakes, group and individual sessions, and discuss cases with staff.
• Facilitate psycho-educational groups and document attendance and progress.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor participant progress and record-keeping.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update the company database.
• Identify barriers to treatment and help clients develop strategies for success.
• Ensure timely completion of participant records and case files.
