GEO Reentry Services LLC is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to develop and deliver education and counseling on drug and alcohol abuse. You will conduct individual and group sessions, document progress, and support evidence-based practices within a team of professionals.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, treatment planning, and maintaining accurate records while contributing to program development and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences with 2 years of professional chemical addictions counseling experience; or
• Associate’s degree with 4 years of professional experience; or
• High School diploma and 6 years of professional experience in chemical addictions counseling.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes and conducts programs to educate about drug and alcohol issues.
• Conducts or assists in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in the company database.
• Coordinates substance abuse program activities at office sites and schedules intakes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
