Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, design, and administer tailored speech and language therapy for patients. You’ll track progress, adjust treatments as needed, and celebrate patient milestones in a supportive inpatient setting.

Qualified candidates hold state licensure, CCC certification, and CPR readiness. A Master’s degree is preferred, or a Bachelor’s with relevant field experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required or in progress.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
