Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, assess, develop, and administer personalized therapy plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.

The role emphasizes identifying issues, modifying treatment when necessary, and tracking progress, with a focus on helping patients regain communication skills within a supportive, technology-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of CCC.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

Master's degree (preferred)

Bachelor's degree with field experience

State licensure/certification

CCC Certification
