Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with communication, swallowing, feeding, or cognitive disorders. Responsibilities span neonate to geriatric care with emphasis on dysphagia and brain injury rehabilitation.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, NM licensure within 30 days, and BLS/CPR within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in NM within 30 days of hire.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers / BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, pediatric feeding, and brain injury is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat dysphagia and speech-language disorders across age groups.
• Evaluate and treat cognitive-communication disorders from brain injury.
• Supervise graduate students, clinical fellows, and paraprofessionals as delegated.
• Provide education and training to hospital staff and community groups.
• Document all patient care activities and maintain records.
• Collaborate with medical staff on patient care and quality monitoring.
