Job summary

The San Francisco Department of Public Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients across Acute Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing, Long Term Care and outpatient settings. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support post-acute care and neurological conditions.

The ideal candidate will hold a CA SLP license, ASHA CCC, and have expertise in dysphagia and instrumental assessments, with a commitment to equity and quality care for all patients.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a state license.
• ASHA CCC credential preferred or required.
• Current California SLP licensure and eligibility for civil service.

Responsibilities

• Conducts swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive assessments.
• Administers instrumental dysphagia tests including MBSS and FEES.
• Delivers targeted therapy and tracks progress.
• Collaborates with physicians and care teams.
• Documents evaluations and treatment plans; handles billing.
• Mentors student interns and supports program development.
