Job summary

Anchor Post Acute in Aiken, SC is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to help residents regain communication and swallowing function. You will evaluate and treat disorders, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families.

Qualifications

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize independence and quality of life.
• Assess and treat swallowing disorders to help residents eat and drink safely.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families for resident-centered care.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Supervise CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
• Provide in-services and participate in meetings as needed.
