Job summary

Anchor Post Acute, a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility behind Aiken Mall in Aiken, SC, invites applications for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The role focuses on evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders to maximize independence and quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology with state licensure; CCC-SLP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; CCC-SLP preferred.
• Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows (CFY) or students, where applicable.
• Communicate regularly with physicians, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families regarding progress, goals, and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Contribute to quality assurance and facility rehabilitation program development.
