Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. You will provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities within outpatient locations or hospital settings.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, an NC license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS may be required later. A year of experience is preferred, with ASLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology.
• NC License as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS within six months.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and billing.
• Document patient care per Lifepoint and regulatory requirements.
• Instruct family or nursing staff in follow‑through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area safely and cleanly.
• Contribute to marketing efforts and team conferences.
