Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with voice, language, and swallowing disorders. You will plan individualized treatment, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes. BLS is required, and occasional training is provided as needed.

Applicants should hold an MS/MA in Speech Pathology with licensure in the U.S. and SLP-CCC where required.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Speech Pathology required.
• Licensure in all states of practice; SLP-CCC may be required in specified states.
• BLS certification required for department protocols.
• Munson location: BLS training provided within 60 days of hire if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of license.
• Evaluate patient condition and determine treatment needs.
• Establish goals with patient and family, in collaboration with the treatment team.
• Re-evaluate patient status and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document patient status and progress per standards.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team to integrate speech pathology services.
• Instruct patient and family in speech pathology procedures and home practice.
• Attend meetings and trainings as designated.
• Meet or exceed productivity expectations.
• Serve as clinical instructor for students and supervise CFY as needed.
• Participate in program development and research activities.
