Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with ASHA-guided practices, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, and documenting progress and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate holds an SLP degree with active state licensure and, if applicable, SLP-CCC. This PRN position supports excellent patient care within our faith-based, not-for-profit rehabilitation

Qualifications

• M.S. or M.A. in Speech Pathology required.
• Active licensure as an SLP in applicable states; SLP-CCC may be required for Medicaid billing.
• Experience delivering speech-language pathology services in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of licensure and regulations.
• Evaluate patient condition and establish goals with patient and family; collaborate with team.
• Develop and administer written treatment plans; delegate tasks to speech assistants as needed.
• Re-evaluate patient status and revise treatment plans accordingly.
• Document progress through evaluations, notes, and discharge summaries per guidelines.
• Coordinate discharge planning with patient, family, and community resources.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and program development activities.
