Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate patients and develop plans of care addressing speech, language, voice, cognition and swallowing, in collaboration with the physician.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field is required.
• Licenses/certifications: SLP, BLS or ARC-BLS, BLS-Instructor required on hire.
• Strong communication, customer service, teamwork and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the speech language therapy treatment plan.
• Selects appropriate treatment activities to progress patient towards goals.
• Revises goals/plan of care with patient/family input.
• Provides discharge instructions, follow-up and referral to community resources as appropriate.
• Acts as a referral source for staff, families, physicians on services and equipment related to rehabilitation services.
• Documentation of evaluation and plan of care according to departmental guidelines.
