Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients and develop comprehensive speech, language, voice, cognition and swallowing plans in collaboration with physicians. You will implement therapy plans, document progress, and provide family education across pediatric and adult populations.

The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory standards, ethical practice, and effective service across the full continuum of care, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited speech-language pathology program.
• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required.
• All certifications required upon hire (SLP, BLS-Instructor).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop speech/language plans of care with physician collaboration.
• Establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals and discharge plans with patient/family.
• Document evaluation and treatment sessions per departmental guidelines.
• Provide ongoing patient/family education and training; discharge instructions.
• Attend meetings and participate in staff development; ensure ethical practice.
