Job summary

Qualifications

• ParaPro Certification is required.
• At least one year of successful work experience.
• Experience with special education students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the teacher in special education classes with all aspects of the day, including instruction, reviews, and behavior interventions.
• Ensures compliance with assignments and extracurricular duties outlined by the teacher and/or principal.
• Assists the Principal in implementing daily and long-range lesson plans; provides instructional support and remediation during academic lessons and various activities.
• Provides functional support with daily life skills.
• Assists the teacher in preparing the classroom and instructional materials.
• Monitors students in the classroom and provides coverage when the teacher is away.
