Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares lessons and instructional materials.
• Instructs students using ASL and English.
• Develops IEPs with parents and testing specialists.
• Encourages class participation and discussion.
• Prepares and scores academic tests and records.
• Meets with parents and supervisors to discuss progress.
• Selects textbooks and learning materials.
• Maintains updated lesson plans.
• Intercedes in emergencies; attends meetings and trainings.
• Maintains classroom order and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
