Job summary

PreEminent Charter School in Raleigh, NC seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with IEP/504 plans. Schedule is 35 hours per week in a K-8 setting.

You will assist with instructional and behavioral support, 1:1 or small groups, and collaborate with the special education team, deans, and instructional staff to help students access the curriculum and thrive in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet state Title 1 paraprofessional requirements.
• Ability to defuse situations and prevent escalation.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance per IEP/504 plan.
• Support 1:1 or small groups as directed by the special education team.
• Implement curriculum and instruction designed to meet diverse needs.
• Attend professional development, IEP meetings, and collaborate with parents.
• Assist with required compliance documentation.
