Job summary

Leicester Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the Sub-Separate program at Leicester Middle School in Leicester, MA. Immediate start date with duties focused on supporting students in English and Mathematics within a sub-separate setting.

You will collaborate with general education staff, develop individualized plans, administer targeted interventions, and manage documentation including IEPs and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying students at risk of underperforming in English Language Arts and/or Math.
• Consult with general education teachers to modify curricula, materials and environment for individual students.
• Identify, develop, and administer targeted interventions for identified students.
• Provide sub-separate instruction and/or academic support aligned with IEP goals in a team or small-group setting.
• Maintain student records and prepare required reports; participate in IEP Team meetings and develop goals and objectives.
