Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract-full-time position in San Tan Valley, AZ. The teacher will provide quality services to K-12 students under the SPED Program Administrator, with collaboration across general education staff to design and implement student programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree, state teaching certification, and an endorsement/CERT as applicable. CPR and health screenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12, as directed by the SPED Program Administrator.
• Collaborate with general education staff to plan and implement student programs and specialized instruction.
